· In 2007, ITD transfered imaging technology to Emerging Technologies, LLC. . Emerging Technologies manufactures and sells a
suite of portable hyperspectral imaging systems in the ultraviolet, visible/near infrared, and short-wave infrared regions of the
electromagnetic spectrum. Emerging Technologies has distributors worldwide and offers services and support in the field of prototype imaging systems, commercial turnkey imaging systems, image analysis, software development, and imaging systems support. The hyperspectral imaging system products used by Emerging Technologies, were derived out of the NASA commercial space program and are part of an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with ITD.

· Developed in the early 1990's, Commodity Market Zone Analysis (CMZA) was used to predict how much corn could be
obtained from a location if the price per bushel paid to farmers was increased. It utilizes remote sensing data to locate
corn fields within a specific area such as a county, agricultural co-op business area, or a corn elevator business area.
The imagery is placed within a GIS that also contains roads, railroad lines and any river barge operations.
Software developed by ITD allows an agricultural business, such as a corn elevator facility, to raise the price per bushel of
corn (ex..5 cents) over a specific geographic area to see how much more corn could be drawn to this elevator facility because
the price was higher than the competitors in that same area. This same tool is used to determine where to build new elevator
facilities throughout the corn belt and it is used by railroad companies to pre-position empty railroad cars prior to harvest.
After development, the technology was transfered to ProExporter, Inc. and is still being used today.
